An Intro to Me

Hi! Welcome to my intro post. I'm Fables, they/he and 24 years old as of writing this post. I love reading, analyzing, ttrpgs and making stuff (mostly sewing but I'm willing to try out most crafts at least once). I'm mostly gonna use this account to share my cosplays, writing, reviews and general thoughts. I will try to post regularly (this is a lie). For access just ask, but most stuff will be public anyway. Also no hard feelings if you don't return it or revoke at any time for any reason. Sometimes interests drift apart :)

Nice to meet you too! It’s great to meet someone with so many similar interests :) Especially someone into both Homestuck and TMA. I feel like that's not that common of a crossover.
I totally get the falling out of love with BNHA, I only got back into it recently. Now I'm kind of curious which fic keeps bringing you back to it.
(Also this is me giving you the softest shove to try out The Untamed again. I totally get the attention span thing though. I have started and never finished so many series).

Agreed? They're both a fantastic series. I'm in love with both of them. I relisten to TMA all the time, honestly. Have you listened to The Magnus Protocol yet? If so, how do you feel about it? Honestly.

I absolutely LOVED BNHA when I was into it. I still sort of hear about it in my periphery, but the idea of trying to catch up again is daunting. This is going to sound silly, but... the fic that always draws me back is a long, de-aging one. It's so silly and cute... It's called: Little Shit, by SaysiWrites

I really should pick up The Untamed again. It was so good, and I enjoyed it a lot. I just don't have the $ to spend $16 a month on Netflix. DX

I haven’t started The Magnus Protcol yet, but I've heard good things. Or at least seen a lot of fanart on my tumblr dash of the new characters. Would you say its worth it?

It doesn’t sound silly at all, the description of the fic sounds really fun :) I’m always on the lookout for a new read, so I’m gonna check it out.

Oh yeah, that’s very fair. Streaming services are getting so expensive. There’s a free version on Youtube by the official chinese channel I think? Or at least there was when I watched it. The subtitles on that are worse than the Netflix ones though.

Hmm, I'm mixed on The Magnus Protocol. It spends so much time setting up new characters that it feels like there's too little horror (the stories) and too much of the other plot stuff. It doesn't feel balanced to me. Like, I don't know or love or even like any of these characters yet, so why are they at the complete forefront of every episode, sometimes to the point of having no horror stories at all? On the other hand, the horror stories are still good when they happen. At this point, I don't care about the characters yet, so I'm irritated with having to hear them chatter on so much. I think it's still worth listening to, though. You might take to the characters quicker than I do.

Oh! Well, I'm glad the premise intrigued you! I hope you enjoy it. It's my favorite BNHA fic/series!

Good to know! I wasn’t aware that there were episodes with no horror stories at all. That seems like a weird deviation from the form. But I’ll still give it a listen, I start caring about characters really quickly, so it might work for me.

Sorry, for whatever reason, I didn't get a notification that you responded. I had to go seek out the comment thread and find it. Anyway! That's good!! For me, it takes me a long time to warm up to new content. Like, I want to like the characters more than I actually do. The Magnus Archives was basically the perfect balance...

Don't worry, notifications are weird sometimes :) Yeah, that's super fair. Magnus Archives really hooks you with the short story format before revealing the greater plot. Once I give TMP a listen, I'll get back to you on that!
